About the job

OutSmart is recruiting an HR & Administrative Support Officer for our Emden office, in Germany. You'll drive recruitment, onboarding, and HR processes, assist managers with administrative tasks, and handle office duties like maintaining a tidy environment and welcoming guests. A green thumb is a plus for plant care. You'll be part of a dynamic, innovative team and report to the HR Manager.

This role requires operational skills and competencies to support our German business unit and managers. Our team includes over 40 engineers, inspectors, and specialists, of which 27 based in Germany. The HR Manager is located in Arnhem, Netherlands.

 As an HR & Administrative Support Officer, you will work for out entity in Germany. You will be based in Emden!

Your tasks

  • You are responsible for the inflow, advancement and the administrative processing of the outflow of employees.

  • You are the first point of contact for human resourcing, take care of the recruitment and selection of new colleagues and, where necessary, deploy external parties to support you in this process.

  • Through personal attention you captivate and retain our employees.

  • You are the point of contact for all Emden based employees and management with regard to operational HR related issues.

  • You take care of correct personnel administration and processing any changes for the payroll administration.

  • Support the managers with their administrative tasks.

  • You are responsible for making sure the building looks representative, including watering the plants, and tidy.

About you

In this role, you will support and ease the workload of the organization and its management. We are looking for someone with the following background and characteristics:

  • HRM diploma or relevant work experience.

  • Professional experience in a similar environment.

  • Knowledge of German employment laws and regulations.

  • You are flexible, show initiative, work independently and show ownership.

  • You are proactive and pragmatic in finding solutions.

You communicate clearly, verbally and in writing. Both in German and English (knowledge of Dutch is an advantage).

At OutSmart, we provide a versatile role with a unique employment package that includes:

  • A competitive salary, starting from € 3,000.00 gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on your work experience.

  • A permanent contract with six months probation.

  • A working week of 20 - 32 hours with flexible working hours.

  • 27 vacation days (on a full-time basis) with the possibility to purchase a maximum of 12 days (on a full-time basis).
